The Swedish staff decided per 1 November 2010 that the Swedish division shall interpret the Guest Controller Approval system. This means that members who are not a member of the Swedish division will have to meet certain requirements in order to have permission to be online as Air Traffic Control in Sweden.
In order to apply for a Guest Controller Approval, you should send an e-mail to SE-TC@ivao.aero. To be able to handle your request faster, we kindly ask you to include the
following in your e-mail:
· Your name and e-mail address
· Your IVAO VID
· Your ATC rating
· A few lines about yourself
· A few lines about why you would like to receive a GCA for Sweden
When your e-mail is received, the Swedish HQ will check your details, make a suspension
history- and note-check, ask your current HQ for a recommendation, and finally send an email
back to you in order to schedule a training session. During the training session, we will go through the procedures, which we expect you to have read through before the session, and then perform a proficiency check, online at the tower position of ESSA. During the debriefing, or with some delay, you will get the result of the training session evalution.
